Avatar: The Last Airbender the sequel?

I love love love Nicklodeons animated series Avatar: The Legend of Aang, I even watched the live action movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan. For those of you who are not in the know, click here.

Like the nature of all things, the series came to an end with a spectacular 2 part special, and then after years of religiously following the adventures of Aang and his friends, finally it was over. It took a couple of weeks for me to get used to the lack of 'airbender' in my life.

That's why today was one of those moments where I throw my shame away and scream like a little school girl. A sequel called Avatar: The Legend of Korra, will be released as a 12 part series sometime during November this year.

This sequel is set 70 years after the defeat of the great Fire Lord Ozai and Princess Azula, and documents the story of Korra from the water tribe of the east, as she sets out to become next in line to become avatar. The animation follows her as she learns to air-bend while facing an anti-bender evolution.
