just watched brokeback mountain.
For those of you who are not in the know Brokeback Mountain was originally a short story written by french writer Anne Proulx in 1997. It was published in the New Yorker, and with the help of screenwriters Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana, has been masterfully expanded into a visually magnificent film which is as affecting as it is beautiful. I loved it! One of my favorites definitely. Please feel free to leave a comment. Did you like it?

An ‘American Idol's' Dirty Little Secret Exposed
The final 12 "American Idol" females took the stage Tuesday night, but all eyes were on one sultry singer who has landed smack dab in the middle of a huge "Idol" shocker.
Becky O'Donahue is chasing her dreams on "Idol," but it is another performance that has everyone doing a double take. "Extra" uncovered a lost video of Becky and her twin sister, Jesse, striking seductive poses for a video by the men's magazine, Maxim.
Maxim has been running the steamy footage on its Web site, but it went unnoticed until the 25-year-old twins found exposure on "American Idol."
When "Extra's" Terri Seymour gave Simon a private screening of the video after Tuesday night's show, all he could muster was, "Wow! Hopefully, she'll make the top two."
Simon enjoyed Becky's sexy poses far more than her crooning; he rated her voice at a mere six and half.
But Becky remains undeterred. "As for impressing the judges, of course I want to impress all of them," she said. "More importantly, I want to impress America at home, so they pick up that phone and vote for me."
We'll find out just how much America loves Becky on the "American Idol" results show, Friday night.
Angry bond fans threaten to boycott upcoming bond movie.
A group of James Bond fans have launched a Web site, http://www.craignotbond.com, to protest British actor Daniel Craig replacing Pierce Brosnan in the 007 film franchise, and boycott the upcoming Bond movie "Casino Royale."
The fair-haired Craig, whose recent screen credits include "Munich" and "The Jacket," was tapped last October to play the secret-agent icon.
"EON Productions angered fans around the world when they fired Pierce Brosnan at the height of his popularity as Bond," said a statement on the site. "To add insult to injury, EON cast a short, blond, odd-looking Daniel Craig in the role of Bond."
"Craig, described by The New York Times as having a 'pale, flattened face and large, fleshy ears' is a terrible choice for Bond. If EON Productions and Sony Pictures will not accept they've made a big mistake, then Bond fans promise to boycott Casino Royale!"

Here's some info for you dog's out there!
People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people¡¦s confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit. [source]

Valentines day
Hate it or love it here's some info on the origins of valentines day, before it became a commercial gold mine.
There are many possible creation legends when it comes to the day that we affectionately call St. Valentine's Day. According to The History Channel, the first of these legends suggests that St. Valentine was a third century Roman priest who lived during a time when Claudius II decided that single men made much stronger soldiers and no longer allowed marriage. Valentine, who did not agree with this, performed marriages for young lovers in secret, thus making him the saint of love.
Another possibility is that Valentine was killed for helping Christians escape from Roman prisons where the Christians were being beaten and tortured, allowing them to be reunited with their loved ones.
In another legend, St. Valentine was in prison where he fell in love with a prison guard's daughter with whom he wrote love notes that he signed 'From your Valentine.'
Well there you have it romantic myth or Hallmark cash cow? You decide.
Ever heard of Car seats Britney!?
Yup she's done it again. She was spotted driving away from a Malibu Starbucks with baby preston on her lap.
A display frowned upon even in Hollywood. Her latest misstep surges past the Vegas marriage and the whole Kevin Federline thing to become the dumbest thing she's ever done.
Celebrities and babies have always been an awkward combination. At best, they combine to fuel a cottage paparazzi industry of tabloid mother-and-child photos, or the baby-as-accessory spreads in sundry magazines. (eg. Michael Jackson dangling his infant son over a balcony)
Britney claimed she was freaked out during a disturbing encouter with the paparazzi and put her baby in her lap. Yeah Britney play the p-card.
